Atlassian Team 2025 news: AI, Service Collection, Software Collection and Rovo.

Diagram of the Atlassian Cloud Platform with Rovo at its core, connecting applications and AI agents for all teams: software, service, product and leadership.

If Team ’25 has made one thing clear, it is that it is not enough for companies to simply implement tools. Business success will depend on the vision with which they build ecosystems where:

  • AI is not an accessory that extends functionality, but a fundamental part of any solution.
  • Silos disappear, giving way to more cross-functional workflows.
  • Data flows between applications, but securely.

ROVO: the brain that connects everything.

Now integrated into all Atlassian Cloud products and included in more applications: Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, Jira Product Discovery.

Rovo capabilities:

  • Rovo Search: will be the default search for Jira. As we recall, it already allowed you to search your company’s SaaS tools.
  • Rovo Chat: recognises contexts, keeps history and has personal memory.
  • Rovo Studio: helps teams create custom AI agents, automations and applications using natural language. In addition, Atlassian has created skill libraries for them.
  • More connectivity: with more than 50 applications (including Jira Data Centre, JSM, HubSpot, DocuSign, Teams…).

Atlassian Collections: a growing ecosystem

Atlassian structures its platform into specialised Collections that group tools by team needs. Some are already well known, such as:

– Teamwork Collection: Jira, Confluence, Loom, and Rovo as a common language for collaboration.

– Strategy Collection: Focus, Talent, Jira Align, and Rovo to connect strategy with goals, people, and resources.

And other new ones such as:

– Service Collection: focused on internal and external service teams.

– Software Collection: as a measure of developer productivity.

What does Software Collection include?

The pack consists of Rovo Dev, Bitbucket Pipelines, Bitbucket, Compass, and DX.

  • Rovo Dev (General Availability): uses AI in planning, coding and code review throughout the software development cycle.
  • Bitbucket Pipelines: automates the continuous integration and deployment cycle.
  • Bitbucket: enables teams to manage and store code.
  • Compass: a platform for developers that catalogues software architecture, standards and governance.
  • DX: quantitative metrics + qualitative information from developers.

What does Service Collection include?

It integrates Jira Service Management, Customer Service Management, Assets and Rovo:

  • Jira Service Management: the cornerstone of IT service management (ITSM) that resolves incidents faster by eliminating silos between departments.
  • Customer Service Management: the big news in external customer support. AI-powered multichannel support that understands context, proposes solutions, and knows when to escalate to human teams.
  • Assets: your live, intelligent inventory of everything that matters, whether digital or physical. Visualise dependencies between systems and anticipate failures before they impact your business.
  • Rovo: automatic ticket triage, responses based on previous cases, and automation of repetitive tasks.

Atlassian Ascend Programme: risk-free migration to the cloud

New cloud migration programme based on FastShift automation with incentives for early adoption, intelligent process automation, and resources to eliminate risks in the transition to the cloud.

Atlassian Isolated Cloud: Cloud innovation for critical environments

An isolated, dedicated infrastructure for organisations with superior security, compliance, and advanced governance needs (planned for 2026).

The power of the cloud with the guarantees of a single-tenant environment.

  • Additional enterprise-level enhancements
  • Expanded scalability: Jira up to 100,000 users and, coming soon, Confluence up to 250,000 users and Jira Service Management up to 50,000 users.
  • More than 120 security and governance enhancements.
  • New platform applications such as Projects and Units, coming soon.
