Atlassian announces the end of new Server licence sales

Linkedin

On 16 October 2020, Atlassian informed all its customers that as of 2 February 2021, sales of new Server licences will cease and new prices for its Server and Data Center offerings will come into effect.

In recent years, Atlassian has invested heavily in improving its Cloud products, allowing it to evolve and meet the changing needs of its customers. In fact, more than 90% of new customers make Cloud their first choice, and an increasing number of existing customers are asking to migrate to Cloud because of its scalability, agility, flexibility and security benefits.

This is why Atlassian is highly committed to its Cloud First strategy and has announced these important changes to its Server and Data Center offerings:

To plan ahead and make the migration to Cloud as smooth as possible, Server maintenance support will continue until February 2024.

For those customers whose operational requirements do not allow them to migrate to the Cloud, Atlassian is continuing to strengthen its Data Center offerings, adding priority support for customers with more than 500 users. In this blog post we provide you with a list of factors to consider when assessing whether Atlassian Data Center is the best option for your organisation.
